Connecting Global Experience With Local Action
Marina Shaikh's professional and humanitarian journey extends beyond India.
Her early career in Brussels provided first-hand exposure to European institutions, international policy and cross-border collaboration. Working under former Member of the European Parliament Nirj Deva, Marina progressed from intern to Special Assistant and Advisor.
Her association with the Alliance of Conservatives and Reformists in Europe took her to international conferences in Turkey, Armenia, Italy and the United States.
Her humanitarian exposure also included supporting the Praksis Organisation in Athens and its programmes providing economic, social and medical assistance to vulnerable populations.
After returning to India, Marina served as ACRE's Director General for India for two years. Today, she continues her international engagement as a Member of the Advisory Board for the Center of Asia Pacific Studies in Prague.
These experiences have shaped Marina's belief that many of society's challenges require collaboration that extends across communities, institutions and borders.
